hello everybody so this is the experience for the people who went to the vis smoking festival.
we first went to take a train all together from utrecht central station to hilversum.celine ,odak,kwach,floor,moses,shalote and me were all excited to see what is there because for all of us was the first time to go to the vis smoking.
we met Marten in hilversum and he drove us to Kortenhoff(ope the spelling is right).
it was raining on and off all the time we were there and the place was extremely cold.
we walked in the area of different stands where people were displaying there skills of smoking vis and selling different kinds. the whole place smelt of fish smoke.
we stopped and said hello to marten's father and brother Roben who gave some fish to taste.
we then went to a place where we could randomly perform.it was a bit challenging because they said we could not do it to the music we had it would spoil the mood of the people around,I say its a fear of people and traditions,so we decided to dance on the music already playing. It was still kazelak people enjoyed they stopped and watched and even applaused when we finished.
we then hit the road agsin and performed on the road where people also stood in amazement of how different the festival is thie year.they were very curious to know what was happening marten kept feeding them with information each time he got the chance.we
lastly we went for a boat ride where everyone learnt how to row with the paddles.we got some coffee and cookies from marten's oma.as we were going to the train station we dropped by martin's regular snack bar and we all got something to eat.
it was good to see the dutch traditions.
it was really good for marten to organise the whole thing,we had a kazelak time.
